Driving to Eyne, past the village there is a parking.

The trail to Coll de Núria starts gentle in the fields,

(click photo to enlarge)
then enters a forest.

(click photo to enlarge)
Passing a long metal waterchannel

(click photo to enlarge)
and then leaving the forest.

(click photo to enlarge)
Further on taking a wrong side-trail which brings me down to the stream. The right trail is on higher grounds to the right.

The trees have disappeared.

The trail is hardly waymarked but in general very obvious in its course.

Reaching the upper valley.

The direction is clear: follow the curves of the stream with a last tough

climb to Coll de Núria. On the ridge there's a strong wind and it's cold.

Bm508 is not here but 80m to the E and

well at (zoom-in) at this pile of rocks.

Bm508

The reason to revisit bm508 is that in 2018 this plaque was put on the original (remains of) bm508. See this blogpost.

Bm508

I wanted to see it with my own eyes and make my own pictures.

And there is another objective: I want to have visited all esfr-bordermarkers at least twice.

I support strongly the maintenance and renovation of bordermarkers. But in this case, it could have done better.

At the bottom we see an "8", the only surviving numeral of "508".

It was Serge Poncet who discovered that numeral in 2015, see this blogpost.

The cross however was still well visible.

(click photo to enlarge)
The problem is that this marble plaque has been attached on top of that cross.

(click photo to enlarge)
Let's show that original cross with my picture of 20100709.

And that covering up is a pity, it could have been attached easily besides it.
We can still see a bit of the original cross on this picture

and on this one.

Time to return. Maybe I should take up mountainbiking. Could save time....

Descending back into the valley.

(click photo to enlarge)
At the bottom plenty of bivouac space, running water available.

While returning I spot an

(click photo to enlarge)
"orry", a shepherd's cabin from the past.

Having returned in cultivated terrain and almost back at my car.
